Teaching VATS surgery between Buffalo and a hotel in Connecticut.
Dr. Demmy, here at RPCI, conducted the surgery while taking questions from medical students at the far side during the actual procedure. Veraview was able to integrate audio and video into the operating room, take those feeds to the Polycom and send them via ISDN to the far side utilizing Roswell’s MGC bridge.

Teaching VATS surgery between Buffalo and a School Auditorium in Connecticut
Roswell live teaching videoconference surgery took place on February 29th, 2008 teaching VATS surgery. This time it was done by Dr. Nwogu. This surgery was sent via ISDN to a school auditorium in Connecticut. It was an interactive surgery between Dr. Nwogu here in Buffalo and Dr. Demmy in Connecticut. Audio and video were integrated into the O.R.; those feeds then being sent to the far side utilizing Roswell’s MGC bridge.
